Can I get the benefit of both Point Reduction and Insurance discount?
Yes, once you complete the course we will notify the Motor Vehicles Commission to remove two points from your driving record. At the same time, you can submit a copy of the completion certificate to your insurance company and your discount will be reflected with next renewal.
What if I don't have any points on my driving record?
You still benefit from the insurance reduction.
How long is a course?
The course is written by Hollywood writers and illustrators, consisting of 10 Fun n' Easy Modules; each module is completed at your own pace in as little as 5-minute increments. The state of New Jersey requires that we time the course to a minimum of 360 minutes of instruction. We estimate that each module takes about 20-30 minutes to complete plus the time for the final quiz. There are no maximum time restrictions and you proceed at your own pace in as little as 5 minute increments.
How do I get my certificate?
Your certificate of completion will be processed the same day. If you prefer to have a printed certificate delivered to you then it will be processed no later than the following business day via the delivery method you select at the time of registration. If you chose email, your certificate will be emailed within 24 hours of completion.
Is there a time frame to complete the course?
Unless you were ordered by the court and/or another referring agency that gave you a specific due date, there is no time limit to complete the course. However if you are taking the course for Insurance Reduction we strongly encourage you to complete the course prior to your next renewal date in order to receive a discount after the next renewal.
Please note that while we report daily, it may take up to few weeks for the Motor Vehicle Commission to remove points from your record.
Is your traffic school / traffic safety course certified in Nevada?
Our Nevada traffic school course is DMV certified for both: a plea bargain agreement with the court and a voluntary point reduction on your driving record.
I got a ticket, what class do I need to take?
If you received a traffic ticket and have elected to take traffic school as a plea bargain in the court, you need to take the traffic safety course. Just select "Dismiss a ticket" during registration.
How does it work if I complete traffic school for a ticket?
If you take traffic school as part of a plea bargain, no additional points will be added to your demerit record.
I received a letter from the DMV that I have three or more demerit points on my license. Can I take this course to reduce points?
Yes! By completing the traffic safety course, up to three points will be reduced from your demerit record.
How long will it take me to complete the Traffic Safety School course?
The Traffic Safety School course is 5 hours. You can log out at any time, and log back in at your convenience. The course is available online 24/7.
