Within 30 days of receiving your citation, you should notify the clerk of the court in the county in which the citation was issued of your intent to elect traffic school. Improv's courses are certified by the State and comply with the court requirements.
This BDI Course also covers TCAC (Traffic Collision Avoidance Course) requirements. You may also take this course if required by your employer or if your insurance carrier* offers a discount rate for completing a defensive driving course.
*Be sure to check with your insurance carrier for details about which course providers they've approved.

Completing a defensive driving class will help you to maintain a safe driving record, keep points off your license, and keep your insurance rates down. You cannot take traffic school for more serious offenses like DUI, reckless driving, etc... Penalties for these offenses are much more severe and rightfully so. Failing to complete the course within the required time limit will cause your license to be suspended. You may not elect to attend traffic school if you have done so in the past 12 months nor more than 5 times in your lifetime.
